Calvin Johnson

Mr. Calvin Johnson, Chief Appraiser and President of Home Pro, Inc., is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with 27 years of appraisal and mortgage lending experience. Cal is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of American Intercontinental University's, renown, School of Business where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Johnson's appraisal career began in February 1972 when he accepted a position in the credit/collection department at Wayne Bank in Wayne, Michigan. One of his duties was site and improvements evaluations for prospective mortgages. During his tenure he was also active in branch management. Cal gained valuable experience in profit and loss analysis, evaluation and rating of cash flows, income streams, credit approvals, and closings. The time spent in banking proved invaluable in later years when the examination of operating statements and determination of equity position, as it relates to debt service, became a large part of his daily appraisal activities. The banking experience has served him well in the appraisal industry.

In the years 1980-83 Cal was on staff at Gedrich Management in Southfield, Michigan. In his position of Senior Staff Appraiser he worked on several major projects . The properties appraised during his tenure at Gedrich included residential properties, restaurants, grocery stores, abandoned bank buildings, drive-in restaurants, industrial plants, strip shopping centers, office and apartment buildings, medical clinics, and many other income producing properties.

Since December 4, 1981 Mr. Johnson has been a member of the Michigan Department of Transportation's appraisal panel. His assignments, for condemnation purposes, have included commercial, industrial, residential, agricultural, partial interests, and easements. He has been qualified as an expert witness in Wayne and Oakland County circuit court and testified for the Department of Transportation and private property owners.

Cal has served on the Department of Veterans Affairs and Federal Housing Administration appraiser rosters since 1980 and 1995 respectively.

Mr. Johnson was Chief Appraiser at Johnson-Rowe and Vaughn real estate company in Romulus, Michigan from 1981-89, when it was incorporated as Home Pro, Inc. He has served as Home Pro's Chief Appraiser and President since 1989.
